This page explains what Stakali collects.
Stakali requests the permission "android.permission.INTERNET" in order to perform 4 different operations :
  • communicate with your server hosting Shaarli in order to save your bookmarks
  • communicate with the site's bookmark in order to retrieve metadata : title, description, images, icons and eventually full article
  • version prior to 1.2.0 : communicate with crashlytics.com, see "Crash-reports"
  • version equal to or higher than 1.2.0 : communicate with toneiv.eu, see "Crash-reports"
  • communicate with stakali.toneiv.eu, see "Update-check"
I do not collect personal information, neither do I sell or otherwise misappropriate any collected data.
Stakali will work without internet, you will only lose the possibility to save your bookmarks online and to retrieve bookmarks's metadata.
Crash-reports

  • version prior to 1.2.0 : Stakali uses the Crashlytics bug tracking system, so any errors encountered are reported for analysis. This application does not collect any personal data.
  • version equal to or higher than 1.2.0 : Stakali uses the Acra (Application Crash Reports for Android) bug tracking system, so any errors encountered are reported for analysis. This application does not collect any personal data.
Update-check

Periodically Stakali will make a request in order to know if there is an update. In the exception of the build number of the application, no other information is send.
